Annelise Ryan’s Dead in the Water failed my “please make it the first book in a series” test but otherwise it passed with flying colors. I found it uplifting as well as “sassy, sexy and suspenseful” as Carolyn Hart is said to have thought.
Mattie Winston has just moved in with her long time boyfriend, a policeman, and is planning a wedding.
